Overview

The Salvation Army's Adult Rehabilitation Centers make a difference in people's lives. Through the collection and resale of gently used goods, we provide financial support to assist men and women with social and spiritual challenges. Our in-residence rehabilitation program offers basic necessities, including a clean living environment, nutritious food, work therapy, leisure activities, counseling, and spiritual guidance. Our goal is to develop life skills and foster a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Each team member contributes to recycling goods that help repair broken lives.

Position

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Donation Center Attendant responsible for managing operations and security of the donation area.

Responsibilities
  1. Receive and receipt all donated materials courteously and efficiently, following policy.
  2. Safeguard all donated items and equipment.
  3. Advise donors of unacceptable materials.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the donation center and surrounding area.
  5. Sort and load trailers with donations.
  6. Ensure unauthorized personnel do not enter the donation area.
  7. Prevent merchandise from being kept, sold, or diverted without authorization.
  8. Report complaints, damages, and unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • The ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
