Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our thrift store team. You will work closely with the Store Manager to maintain a welcoming, high-service environment, schedule Sales Associates, manage payroll, meet sales and expense budgets, and ensure the store is well stocked and visually appealing.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to read and interpret simple income and expense reports, excellent verbal and written

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, reading and interpreting simple income and expense reports, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to motivate a team.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in sales preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Duties include working cooperatively with the Store Manager to create a pleasant and hospitable work environment, maintain excellent customer service relationships, and hold staff accountable for policies and procedures.
• Assist in scheduling of Sales Associates, completion of payroll, meeting sales, production, and expense budget goals to maintain a profitable operation, and ensure the store is well stocked and displays properly on the sales floor.
• Assist with interviews, training, direction and supervision of personnel, and regular evaluations of store personnel to identify performance strengths and areas for development.
