Job summary

Lewis Tree Service is seeking a Trimmer/Climber to join our North American vegetation management team. You will perform ground and aerial pruning, assist with line clearance, and support equipment operation for utility clients and other customers.

Expect climbing work, herbicide applications, and travel as needed. A CDL, CPR/First Aid, and appropriate certifications are required or provided by Lewis. Join a company that values safety, growth, and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience on tree crews as a Trimmer/Climber.
• Basic knowledge of tree species and pruning techniques.
• Ability to work at height with climbing gear or aerial lifts.
• Trimmer Certification or ability to obtain it.
• Valid driver's license and CDL (as required).
• CPR and First Aid certification provided by Lewis.
• Acquire required herbicide training and licenses.
• Strong teamwork and safety awareness, compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground-level and elevated pruning and vegetation removal.
• Operate chainsaws, chippers, and related equipment; rig limbs safely.
• Set up job sites, assist with rigging, traffic control, and cleanup.
• Support safety by spotting and communicating hazards.
• Apply herbicides per company policy and legal guidelines.
• Drive and operate trucks and specialized equipment (certified).
• Participate in job briefings and follow safety protocols.
• Travel as needed for work, including potential overnight stays.
