Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Raleigh, NC seeks a Trimmer/Climber to trim and remove trees, operate and service all tools, and manage debris. This full-time, non-exempt role involves heights, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather.

You will load trucks, assist in training new staff, and help safeguard coworkers and the public by setting up barriers and warning signs. A pre-employment screen may apply; driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be able to walk, climb and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans and splits large debris into manageable pieces; feeds debris into a woodchipper.
• Loads/unloads trucks and keeps work areas clean and orderly.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards; sets up barriers and warning signs.
• Assists in training new employees and supports safety protocols.
