Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking an Arborist to support onstage landscaping for the Global team at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. This hands-on field service role involves tree production, care, pruning, and moving, with work from elevated platforms and confined spaces across the parks and resort properties.

Responsibilities include routine arboriculture maintenance, operating forklifts and aerial lifts, climbing trees with rope and saddle, and using chainsaws, chippers, and bucket

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience within Horticulture or Agriculture
• Able to meet requirements for climbing aerial rescue guidelines
• Familiar with ANSI Z133 safety standards (ANSI 300)
• Knowledge of southern tree species
• Able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs
• CDL Class A license with air brakes endorsement
• 3rd shift role
• Speak and read English to communicate with guests

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled routine arboriculture maintenance
• Operate Forklifts, Lull, box truck, ladder work, work at heights
• Climb trees using a rope and saddle
• Operate tools and equipment to include chainsaws, chippers and aerial work platforms (AWP) and bucket trucks
• Cast members may be required to handle cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Additional Personal Protective Equipment may be required
