Bartlett Tree Experts is hiring an Arborist Representative Trainee in Southampton, NY. You will split time between selling, marketing, and customer service while learning tree care from seasoned arborists. Training, mentorship, and advancement are emphasized in a safety-first environment.

The role offers a clear path to full-time status, with paid training and opportunities to develop technical and commercial skills in a growing tree-care business.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
• ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain; training provided.
• Valid driver's license and clean record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Degree in Arboriculture/Forestry/Horticulture or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Meet with residential and commercial clients daily to evaluate tree and shrub care needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the defined territory.
• Prepare and provide proposals using sales tools, software, and other technologies.
• Supervise work to be performed, ensuring jobs are completed per contract and to client satisfaction.
• Set up personal sales expectations with immediate supervisor and work to meet sales goals.
• Work as a member of a tree care crew during training until transitioning to full-time Arborist Representative.
• Enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.

  • Set up personal sales expectations with immediate supervisor and prepare to meet sales goals
• Work as a member of a tree care crew during the training process until transitioning to a full-time Arborist Representative
• Responsible for implementing and enforcing all safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience
• ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain – we will pay for the cost of the exam and help you prepare!
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field is preferred but not required
