Bartlett Tree Experts in Westbury, NY is hiring an Arborist Representative Trainee. This role blends outdoor arboriculture work with sales, customer service, and training under experienced arborists.

You will participate in comprehensive training, learn to build client relationships, and advance to a full-time Arborist Representative while contributing to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience.
• ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain (company-paid).
• Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Prefer degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn all areas of sales within a defined territory, including selling, marketing, customer service, administration, production, and training.
• Meet with existing and potential residential and commercial clients daily to evaluate tree and shrub care needs.
• Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and client relationships within the territory.
• Prepare and provide proposals to clients using sales tools and technologies.
• Supervise work to be performed and ensure client satisfaction per signed contracts.
• Set up personal sales expectations with supervisor and aim to meet sales goals.
• Work as a member of a tree care crew during training until transitioning to full-time Arborist Representative.
• Implement and enforce safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs.

• Responsible for implementing and enforcing all safety, transportation, and pesticide compliance programs

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience in the tree care industry or prior sales experience
• ISA Arborist Certification or ability to obtain – we will pay for the cost of the exam and help you prepare!
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field is preferred but not required
