Job summary

Almstead Tree and Shrub Care is seeking a results-driven professional to manage and grow a well-established territory in the CT area. You will diagnose landscapes, price care programs, and develop lawn and tree health services for residential and commercial clients.

The role emphasizes leadership of crews, safety compliance, and proactive business development to expand our market presence in Fairfield County and the tri-state area.

Qualifications

• Two or four year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environment Sciences, Biological Sciences, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• CT Arborist License mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients to diagnose and monitor landscapes.
• Negotiate contracts and bids for residential/commercial customers.
• Develop and implement tree, lawn and plant health care programs.
• Set up crews, supervise work and ensure client satisfaction.
• Prospect for new business opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and controlled workplace.

Basic Function

Service, maintain and continue to build a very well established territory. Provide quality and timely diagnosis and estimates for tree, plant health care, and lawn care for residential and commercial clients in the Fairfield County area.

Compensation

$65,000 - $150,000 per year total rewards, based upon experience.

Responsibilities

• Visit clients and prospects to diagnose and monitor landscapes
• Negotiate contract and bid proposals for residential and commercial customers
• Develop and implement tree care, lawn care & plant health care programs
• Set-up crews, supervise work being performed, and complete jobs to client satisfaction
• Continually prospect for new business
• Maintain a safe and controlled workplace and environment
• Enforce company safety and training policies
• Attend community and industry events to help promote our business

Requirements

Skills/Abilities

• The proven ability to establish, maintain and grow a sales territory
• Hands-on knowledge of tree, plant and lawn care
• The ability to correctly and effectively diagnose and price various tree care treatments
• The ability to prepare and present proposals
• Major account management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills/listening skills

Education/Training

• Two or four year degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Plant Science, Plant Pathology, Environment Sciences, Biological Sciences, or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• CTPA, CT Arborist License mandatory
