Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Ground Person to join a professional tree-care crew in Southampton, NY. This entry-level role provides on-the-job training while performing ground-based arboriculture tasks on residential and commercial properties.

You will learn to prune, rig, cabling and bracing, remove hazardous trees, and safely operate tools and equipment, all within a safety-first work culture that emphasizes ongoing education and development.

Qualifications

• Passion for nature and outdoors.
• Interest in year-round outdoor manual labor.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn in a multidisciplinary team.
• Driver's license required.
• Degree in arboriculture/forestry/plant science or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and safely perform all arboriculture tasks on the ground and with equipment.
• Prune trees, rig, cabling, bracing, and remove hazardous trees.
• Operate hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts following safety rules.
• Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft.
• Support with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
