Bartlett Tree Experts offers an entry-level Arborist Climber Trainee position in Southampton, NY. You will join a tree care crew, gaining hands-on experience in pruning, rigging, and other arboriculture tasks under supervision.

This role emphasizes safety, learning, and professional development while working on commercial and residential properties. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, comfortable outdoors year-round, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Willingness to learn and work on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, horticulture experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Learn through on-the-job training to safely perform all aspects of arboriculture, including: Tree climbing, Pruning, Rigging, Cabling and bracing, Removal of hazardous trees, Tree identification, Operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Implementing work zone safety procedures.
• Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on ground and aloft; assist with driving, backing, dumping, and parking duties.
• Adhere to all safety rules and company safety policies.
