Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader in Williamsburg, VA. You will lead a tree care crew, perform arboriculture tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency on every job.

Responsibilities include supervising crew members, training for each assignment, and maintaining equipment while building strong client relationships. The role requires experience with pruning, rigging, removals, and operating tools in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, and removals.
• Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervising and managing crews; ensuring training for each job assignment.
• Ensuring work meets industry and company standards and communicating with clients.

• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
