Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Lynchburg, VA is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to guide a tree care crew in delivering safe, high-quality arboriculture services. You will supervise field crews, perform advanced pruning, removals, cabling, and rigging, and ensure equipment is properly maintained and operated.

A strong safety focus and excellent communication with clients are essential. Qualified candidates have at least 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT/SRT), a valid driver’s license (Class B CDL

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) experience.
• Experience with aerial lifts and tree care equipment.
• Valid driver\'s license; Class B CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including pruning, cabling and bracing, rigging, removals.
• Maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services.
• Ensuring crew training and adherence to industry standards.
• Communicating with clients and building relationships on site.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
