Job summary

Bartlett Tree Experts in Portland, ME is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to guide a tree care crew and deliver safe, efficient services in outdoor conditions.

You will supervise pruning, cabling, rigging, removals, and equipment operation. Candidates need at least 3 years of climbing experience, a valid driver’s license (Class B preferred), and a passion for safety, teamwork, and client service.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid drivers license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented and self-motivated.
• Commitment to safety and high-quality client service.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks: pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, removals.
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site.
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services as directed.
• Ensuring crew members are trained for each job assignment.
• Ensuring work complies with industry and company standards and client needs.

• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients
• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
