Bartlett Tree Experts in Nashville is seeking an Arborist Crew Leader to guide a tree care crew and perform arboriculture tasks safely and efficiently. You will lead crew members, supervise jobs, and ensure high-quality work while maintaining equipment and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of tree climbing experience and a valid license, with a passion for nature and outdoor work. The role supports professional development and offers a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for nature and outdoors.
• At least 3 years of tree climbing (DdRT/SRT) and aerial lift experience.
• Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred).
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Safely performing and supervising all arboriculture tasks.
• Pruning, cabling/bracing, rigging, removals as needed.
• Operate and maintain equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, lifts).
• Lead crews with an enthusiastic, cooperative attitude.
• Ensure training and adherence to standards; communicate with clients.

Responsibilities

As an Arborist Crew Leader, you will play an important role in:

• Safely performing and supervising all aspects of arboriculture, including:
  • Pruning
  • Cabling and bracing
  • Rigging
  • Removals
  • Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)
• Bringing a cooperative and enthusiastic attitude to the job site
• Supervising and managing crews while performing tree care services, as directed by the Arborist Representative and Local Manager
• Ensuring that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
• Ensuring that all tree care work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
• Communicating, answering questions, and building relationships with clients

Qualifications

• A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
• At least three (3) years of tree climbing (DdRT or SRT) and aerial lift experience in the tree care industry
• Valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred)
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
