Job summary

Jake's Tree Service is seeking a motivated and experienced Tree Climber to join our growing team in Chester, PA. The Tree Climber is responsible for performing tree pruning, removals, rigging operations, and other arboricultural services while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism.

This position requires physical stamina, climbing experience, and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Tree Climber, Arborist, or Tree Care Professional preferred.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions.
• Experience operating chainsaws and other tree care equipment.
• ISA Certified Arborist certification is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using ropes, saddles, and other approved climbing systems.
• Safely operate chainsaws, pole saws, and other arborist equipment.
• Execute rigging procedures for controlled lowering of limbs and tree sections.
• Work closely with crew members to ensure safe and efficient job completion.
• Assist with storm damage cleanup and emergency response services as needed.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and vehicles in clean and safe working condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and ANSI Z133 safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members on job sites.
• Assist with ground operations and general tree care duties when not climbing.
