Job summary

Memorial Park Conservancy is seeking an Arboriculture Coordinator (Tree Healthcare Specialist) to lead daily tree health care operations within Memorial Park. This on-site role emphasizes plant health care, structural pruning, irrigation monitoring, and integrated pest management under the Arboriculture Supervisor.

The position includes coordinating field work, mentoring technicians and volunteers, and maintaining detailed records to support the health of high-value trees across the park.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of professional arboriculture experience including tree health care and urban forestry.
• Knowledge of plant health care systems, structural pruning, and integrated pest management.
• Strong ability to identify trees and pests and to operate relevant arboriculture tools and equipment.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and digital work order or asset management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily arboriculture work across assigned areas and adjust in real time based on site conditions.
• Perform plant health care, structural pruning, irrigation monitoring, and pest management within the park.
• Maintain detailed records and communicate findings to the supervisor about high-value trees.
• Assess tree health and site conditions to inform field decisions and maintenance needs.
• oversee field safety, PPE use, and coordination with the supervisor on priorities and resources.
• Direct and train technicians, seasonal staff, and volunteers in arboricultural practices.
• Document maintenance, inspections, and tree assessments using work order systems.
