Job summary

Jensen Landscape Services in Livermore, CA is seeking an arbor ground laborer to contribute to safe, efficient tree care operations. You will perform a range of ground tasks, operate shredders and chippers, and assist with hauling debris under supervision of the Arbor Crew Lead.

The role requires ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, with a focus on safety, proper PPE, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• At least six months of professional tree work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew lead and other crew members
• Valid driver license strongly preferred
• Current CPR & First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
• Current aerial rescue certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
• TCIA certified chipper operator specialist or ability to obtain within 6 months
• TCIA chainsaw operator specialist or ability to obtain within 6 months
• TCIA ground operation specialist or ability to obtain within 6 months
• TCIA tree care safety specialist or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform arbor ground labor tasks as instructed by Arbor Crew Lead
• Work independently while on site for extended periods
• Safely operate shredding and chipping equipment and feed materials into machines
• Operate arbor equipment including loaders, stump chippers, power saws, and pruners
• Hoist tools to tree trimmers and maintain tools
• Clean, sharpen, and lubricate tools and equipment
• Clear sites and grounds of woody materials and debris
• Load debris into trucks and maintain time discipline and dress code
• Climb and prune trees above 15 feet when needed
• Perform cabling, bracing, and special takedowns
• Other duties as assigned
