Job summary

Jensen Landscape Services in California is seeking an arbor ground laborer to support the arbor crew with safe, efficient work on tree installation and removal projects. You will assist with debris cleanup, operate chippers, and help manage tools and equipment in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

The role requires basic tree-handling experience, strong safety awareness, and reliable attendance. Candidates should be able to work outdoors in varying conditions and communicate clearly with crew leads.

Qualifications

• Six months of professional arborist/tree work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with crew lead and other crew members.
• Ability to verbally understand and communicate in English is strongly preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform arbor ground labor tasks as instructed by Arbor Crew Lead
• Safe operation of shredding and chipping equipment, including feeding of brush and limbs into machines
• Safe operation of arbor equipment including loaders, stump chippers, brush chippers, power saws, chainsaws, pole pruners, backpack blowers, and hand tools
• Hoist tools and equipment to tree trimmers
• Load debris and refuse into trucks
• Climb and prune various tree types above heights of 15 feet when primary tree climber is unavailable or unable to do so
