Job summary

Clean Scapes LLC in Houston, TX is hiring an Arbor Crew Leader to guide daily arbor operations on commercial sites. You will lead pruning, removal, and rigging work while ensuring safety and quality across all tasks.

The role requires 2+ years in tree care, crew leadership experience, and knowledge of pruning practices. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ISA certification is a plus. Full-time outdoor position with a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• At least two years of professional tree-care experience.
• Previous crew-lead or supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with climbing equipment, rigging, aerial lifts, chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders.
• Knowledge of proper pruning practices and tree-care safety procedures.
• Ability to lead a crew and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Experience working on commercial properties or near high-traffic areas preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the daily work of an arbor crew.
• Assign tasks and communicate daily job expectations.
• Perform and oversee tree pruning, removal, climbing, rigging, chipping, and stump grinding.
• Train and coach crew members on proper work methods and safety procedures.
• Inspect jobsites, tools, vehicles, and equipment for safety concerns.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Monitor work quality, productivity, and jobsite cleanliness.
• Identify and report tree-health concerns, hazards, equipment issues, and property risks.
• Communicate job progress and crew needs to the Arbor Department Manager.
• Professionally represent Clean Scapes when interacting with customers and the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
