Job summary

Mercer University Macon Campus seeks an Assistant for America Reads/America Counts Tutoring Program to provide administrative support for the ARAC tutoring program, including BearPulse, Workday, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

This student position offers roughly 15 hours per week at $20/hour, with federal work-study required and a background check. Training, scheduling, and tutoring duties are included.

Qualifications

• Must have federal work-study.
• Graduate student on Mercer Macon campus.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Extremely organized with excellent time management.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Provide own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement ARAC tutor training and professional development throughout the year.
• Coordinate ARAC tutor schedule and BearPulse management.
• Attendance verification for bi-weekly pay.
• Cover tutoring hours for tutors who cannot fulfill schedule.
• Attend all applicable meetings and programs.
• Participate in ARAC program with one regularly scheduled tutoring hour per week.
