Job summary

Novel Prep is seeking a Bilingual Arabic Academic Advisor to support student achievement and family partnerships. The role combines academic counseling, student success planning, and enrollment support, focusing on Arabic-speaking families to provide tailored guidance and retention strategies.

The advisor will conduct consultations, design learning plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with instructors to optimize outcomes and growth across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business, or a related field.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written).
• 1-2 years of experience in academic advising, student services, education consulting, counseling, student recruitment, or consultative sales.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Experience communicating with students and parents.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse families and cultural backgrounds.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive academic counseling to students and parents, helping them navigate educational planning, skill development, and college preparation.
• Design customized learning plans and course pathways.
• Guide families through short- and long-term academic decision-making.
• Support students in building effective study habits and academic confidence.
• Review academic progress and performance metrics regularly.
• Identify obstacles to learning and recommend interventions.
• Partner with instructors and staff to coordinate academic resources.
• Adjust plans as needed to optimize student outcomes.
• Lead consultations with new families to introduce programs and services.
• Support enrollment conversations and program matching.
• Manage renewals and maintain student retention.
• Recommend enrichment opportunities and additional services based on student needs.
• Build lasting relationships with Arabic-speaking families that encourage referrals.
