Exovera provides a range of international media monitoringandanalysis/analytics services for publicand private customers. The winning candidate will be fluent inArabicand will beanoutstanding writer in English.Theanalystmust haveananalytic mindand a sophisticated understanding of localand regional current events.We are looking for some proven experience in high-pace fields such as international affairs/development, journalism, strategic communications, intelligence, political consulting,and the like.Familiarity with Iraqand the surrounding region is strongly preferred. Experience with social media, information technology,analytics,and additional language fluency are also advantages.

TheArabicMediaAnalystis part of a 24/7 operationand must be able to work onanunconventionaland variable shift schedule, which may include overnightand weekend shifts. Shift work will includeanalyzing local, regional,and international print, broadcast,and social media sources.

Essential Job Duties

• MonitorsArabic-language printand broadcastnewsmedia sourcesand selects content according to ongoingand emerging customer requirements
• Writes succinct synopsesandanalytic overviews in professional English highlightingand assessing key information
• Contributes originalanalysis pieces onArabicmedia contentand coverage
• Interacts with a range of online tools, including media aggregators, social media applications, computeranalysis systemsand databases (training provided)
• Responds to customer inquiriesand correspondence

Minimum Requirements

• Post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline such as International Relations, Political Science, History, Sociology, or related field, oranundergraduate degree with significant additional directly applicable experience
• Strong interestand knowledge of regionaland global current events
• Native fluency or near native fluency in Modern StandardArabic(and ideally, colloquial Iraqi dialect) is required
• Additional fluency in Kurdish is strongly preferred
• Proven skilland experience (at least 2 years) in professional English-language writingand sophisticatedanalysis
• Ability to quickly processand organize large amounts of informationand identifyand assess items of greatest importance
• Relevant monitoringandanalysis experience,and skill at objective writing
• Comfortand experience managing information in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skillsand attention to detail
• Demonstrated comfort with information technologyand multimedia software, including publishingandanalytics tools
• Maturity, honesty,and integrity
• Ability/flexibilityand temperament to work on a shift schedule, occasionally on short notice
