Job summary

Zekai is seeking experienced Arabic Linguistic Experts to join a cutting-edge AI research project conducted in partnership with a leading research lab. The role focuses on evaluating how well an LLM performs in Arabic tasks and on curating high-quality Arabic linguistic data to train and improve the model's understanding and generation.

This is a 100% remote contract role; applicants must be located in the United States.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Arabic with strong grammar and style.
• Experience in translation, editing, linguistic annotation, or NLP data work in Arabic.
• Strong understanding of linguistic nuances and regional variations.
• Interest in AI and LLM-driven language technologies (preferred but not required).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot subtle errors.
• Clear communication and experience working in distributed, remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality and accuracy of LLM-generated Arabic text across use cases (translation, summarization, dialogue, grammar correction).
• Edit, refine, or rewrite Arabic content to meet linguistic and cultural standards.
• Annotate Arabic text for grammatical, syntactic, and semantic features.
• Identify model errors and language gaps, and collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance.
• Provide detailed linguistic feedback and analysis to guide ongoing model training efforts.
