Job summary

The University of Arizona Language Training Center (LTC) is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to lead intensive Arabic language courses. Roles involve teaching short-term sessions, developing authentic reading and listening materials, and aligning lessons with DLPT/ILR standards.

Applicants should hold a Master's degree in a related field, be native or near-native in Arabic, and have prior language-teaching experience. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in the Arabic language.
• Prior experience in teaching language courses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans and instruct sessions according to approved curriculum.
• Attend pre-course meetings with Program Manager/Executive Director.
• Understand DLPT and ILR score levels.
• Develop the course curricula and lesson plans with authentic materials.
• Build and update curriculum and course materials.
• Answer student emails and communicate regularly with students.
• Provide feedback to students throughout the course.
• Submit lesson plans and teaching materials to LTC Program Manager for archiving.
• Coordinate with center directors, other instructors, and LTC staff as needed.
• Provide feedback to Program Manager on course needs.
