Job summary

Penn Medicine Hospice at 150 Monument Road is seeking a Accounts Receivable/Billing professional to identify, report and resolve issues impacting timely payments. You will collaborate with AR management and lead start-up of new programs, focusing on physician billing processes in an academic medical center.

Responsibilities include coordinating AR activities, evaluating procedures, and preparing monthly reports to support the General Ledger accounts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience in physician billing, preferably in an academic setting.
• HS Diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, reports and creates plans to resolve issues preventing the accurate and timely payment of accounts.
• Assists AR management in creating and implementing plans, policies, procedures and training material for the AR staff.
• Reviews monthly collections for patterns in rejections preventing reimbursement.
• Serves as an internal resource to AR personnel.
• Takes an active role, often as project leader, for the start up of new programs.
