CFS is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on cash application, posting payments, and resolving discrepancies to support the AR function. The position offers exposure to broader accounting operations and a collaborative team environment.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years in AR or related roles and be detail-oriented, motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting. Compensation ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of accounts receivable, cash application, general accounting, or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of payment processing, account reconciliation, and receivables management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and data entry functions.

Responsabilités

• Apply and post daily cash receipts, including checks, wire transfers, ACH payments, and credit card transactions.
• Process incoming payments while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Verify, code, and accurately post cash receipts to customer accounts.
• Prepare daily bank deposits and reconcile deposits to the accounting system.
• Generate and distribute daily cash activity reports.
• Research account discrepancies and investigate payment application issues.
• Assist with resolving client billing concerns and payment-related inquiries.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting tasks.
• Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and supporting files.
• Assist with special projects, process improvement initiatives, and other accounting department needs.
• Provide outstanding internal and external customer service while meeting critical deadlines.
