Job summary

XYZ Reality is seeking a Site Surveyor to establish and maintain primary and secondary control on active construction sites using a Robotic Total Station. You will wear the Atom AR headset to verify installations against BIM models and coordinate daily activities with contractors.

The role requires experience in construction surveying, strong knowledge of Revit/Navisworks, and proficient use of Microsoft Office. Travel across the US is expected and on-site work is central to delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction surveying or engineering surveying.
• Strong experience using Robotic Total Stations for construction layout and control.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of 3D software (Revit, Navisworks) or BIM/BIM360 is desirable but not essential and can be taught.
• Must be confident in using Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Using a Robotic Total Station to establish primary and secondary control via traversing / resection.
• Conducting daily site inspections using the Atom AR headset to ensure works are installed as per the BIM Model.
• Client communication and reporting.
• Producing reports based on the inspections from that day.
• Attending meetings to coordinate with contractors to plan daily activities.
• Processing and reviewing all acquired data to ensure it is accurate and reliable.
• Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring inspections are conducted within timeframes.
• Working with the Contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme.
• Obtaining and preparing the latest approved Revit models to export into HoloSite.
