Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking a Technical Architect to lead advanced optical design and simulation for AR-related hardware. You will drive the architecture of near-eye displays and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and product teams to define specifications and tolerances, ensuring designs are ready for mass production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with 4 years in optical design and simulation for consumer electronics.
Experience with Zemax, LightTools or CodeV for optical design.
Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering projects.

Responsibilities

Conduct advanced optical system modeling and simulation.
Drive optical design and architecture of near-eye displays.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and product design teams to define specs and tolerances.
Develop and maintain complex optical models using Python-based tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.

Master’s or PhD degree in Optical / Mechanical engineering or a relevant technical field.
