Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Supervisor for AR Follow-up to oversee the timely resolution of insurance claims across its hospitals, medical groups, and homecare services. The role leads AR staff, manages vendor and client relations, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.

The position requires 3–4 years of supervisory experience in healthcare AR, an associate degree (bachelors preferred) and proficiency with Epic Resolute, Kronos, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong leadership

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in health care administration, business management or finance or equivalent healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• Minimum: 3 - 4 years supervisory experience in a facility or professional medical billing and/or accounts receivables setting.
• Preferred: 5+ years supervisory experience in health care revenue cycle billing and/or AR follow up & denials.
• Preferred: American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) certification

Responsibilities

• Supervise AR follow-up team activities for timely resolution of insurance claims.
• Oversee HR-related processes including performance reviews, PTO approvals, and hiring; manage timekeeping in Kronos.
• Develop and monitor goals; coach staff to meet productivity and quality targets.
• Manage vendor relationships and client relations; monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with governmental and payer regulations in billing processes.
