Job summary

Hartford HealthCare in Farmington, CT is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist within the Patient Financial Services team to ensure timely cash collections for insurance payments across our hospitals and clinics. You will monitor denials, work with payers, and support daily productivity with data-driven analysis.

The role requires 3+ years of medical billing/AR experience, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10, and Epic system familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or GED.
• 3 years medical billing or AR experience.
• AAPC/AHIMA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of CPT, revenue codes and ICD-10.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely cash collections for insurance payments across all Hartford HealthCare hospitals and clinics.
• Analyze denials and prepare appeals to maximize reimbursement.
• Maintain daily productivity and quality standards with dashboards, aging, and WIP tracking.
• Collaborate with payer vendors, provider reps and internal teams to resolve issues.
