Job summary

Roto-Rooter is seeking an Accounts Receivable Representative/Collection Specialist for the Northeast Regional team. This full-time, on-site position is based at our Baltimore Call Center in Linthicum, MD, with an hourly rate of $19.00–$20.00 depending on experience and a potential performance-based bonus.

The role requires a billing specialist background with accounting, accounts receivable, and collections experience, and offers opportunities for career growth within a well-known national brand.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable accounting is highly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of various common software programs.
• Self-starter who is organized, thorough with attention to detail and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for invoices.
• Complete accounting transactions to report and manage receivable and specific revenue accounts.
• Input data into the AS400 system for record-keeping.
• Adhere to accounts receivable processes to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor payment status of all completed jobs to ensure timely payments and accurate financial tracking.
• Prepare reports and update the General Manager on AR status.
• Contact customers with delinquent accounts to ensure invoicing and payment terms are understood.
