Roto-Rooter in Linthicum, MD is seeking an Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist for our Northeast Regional team. This full-time, on-site role offers $19.00–$20.00 per hour with a potential performance bonus.

Ideal candidates have billing, accounting, AR and collections experience and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Founded in 1935, Roto-Rooter is North America’s largest plumbing and related services provider, with a wide network of company-owned branches and franchises.

Qualifications

• Requires demonstrated experience in accounts receivable accounting.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of common software programs.
• Highly organized with strong follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing for invoices.
• Handle AR and collections related accounting transactions to report and manage receivables.
• Enter data accurately into AS400 for record-keeping.
• Adhere to AR processes to maintain financial accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor payment status of completed jobs for timely payments and tracking.
• Prepare reports and update General Manager on AR status.
• Contact customers with delinquent accounts to confirm receipt of invoices and terms.
