Job summary

AdventHealth in Ormond Beach, Florida seeks a Revenue Cycle Representative to join our team. You will collaborate with insurers to resolve denials, analyze contracts, and improve billing accuracy.

The role supports remote or hybrid work, Monday–Friday 8am–4:30pm, and requires 3+ years in revenue cycle operations, strong communication, HIPAA compliance, and Epic proficiency. Training will include Epic within 30 days and adherence to service standards.

Qualifications

• Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.
• Adaptability to changing organizational and operational needs.
• Working knowledge of the Revenue Cycle including Charge Capture, Access, HIM, Coding, Utilization Management, and Patient Financial Services.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability.
• Typing proficiency (minimum 20 WPM).
• Basic math proficiency.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to work in remote or hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with insurance payers to ensure accurate billing, collections, and denial resolution.
• Review AR reports and elevate barriers to leadership as needed.
• Analyze payer contracts to ensure proper reimbursement and communicate findings to the team.
• Follow up on daily reports to meet productivity goals and escalate as needed.
• Respond to denials and billing issues with written payer/patient communications.
• Document all billing, denial, and collection activities, including escalations.
• Initiate contact with patients, insurers, or employers as needed for claims.
• Process appeals, refunds, reinstatements, and claim rejections.
• Support training, audits, and performance feedback for the team.
