Job summary

LightGuide, Inc. seeks an on-site engineer to create augmented reality experiences and install equipment across diverse manufacturing environments.

You will set up hardware, design system structures with CAD, and prototype mounting components via 3D printing, coordinating with customers and suppliers to ensure successful deployments. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a bachelor’s program in engineering and have 1–2 years in customer-facing roles.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Engineering.
2+ years’ experience in any professional or service job preferred.
1+ years’ experience in customer-facing roles preferred.

Responsibilities

Create unique augmented reality experiences using LightGuide in real-world applications.
Set up, configure, and test equipment including PCs, PLCs, projectors, smart torque tools, motorized spotlights, and other hardware.
Plan and design LightGuide system structures using CAD software.
Design and prototype mounting components using 3D printing.
Work closely with employees, customers, and suppliers in a constructive, team-based manner.
Prepare documentation and drawings for customers as required.
Package and ship hardware for installation projects.
Perform on-site system installation and service at customer locations.
Assist with miscellaneous office duties as required.
Continuously improve and optimize all processes related to the above work.
