Job summary

LightGuide, Inc. is a leading projected augmented reality (AR) work instruction software platform that transforms manual manufacturing processes for companies worldwide.

The role involves on-site installation support, CAD design, CAD prototyping with 3D printing, and close collaboration with customers and suppliers. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering programs and have some experience in professional or customer-facing roles.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience in any professional or service job preferred.
• 1+ years’ experience in customer-facing roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create unique augmented reality experiences using LightGuide applied to a wide variety of real-world applications.
• Set up, configure, and test equipment including PC’s, PLC’s, projectors, smart torque tools, motorized spotlights, and other hardware.
• Plan and design LightGuide system structures and other components using CAD software.
• Design and prototype mounting components using 3D printing.
• Work closely with all personnel including employees, customers, and suppliers in a constructive and team-based manner.
• Prepare documentation and drawings for customers as required.
• Package and ship hardware for installation projects.
• Perform on-site system installation and service at customer locations.
• Assist with miscellaneous office duties as required.
• Continuously improve and optimize all processes related to the above work.
