Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience training adults.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, dependability, and flexibility with hours.
• Ability to work independently with attention to detail.
• ASHI or YMCA Instructor certifications preferred.
• Complete YMCA life-safety and culture training within 30 days.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups and pass background checks.
• Adhere to youth boundaries and abuse risk management policies.
• Complete all required abuse prevention training before first shift.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate all aspects of assigned training classes.
• Communicate effectively with participants before, during, and after each class.
• Manage classes in the online training system.
• Review forms and enter information accurately and thoroughly.
• Keep accurate records of course reports for staff and community classes.
• Participate in branch, department, and association trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
