Job summary

The Aquatics Lifeguard at The Salvation Army Omaha Kroc Center is responsible for monitoring pool patrons and maintaining a safe aquatics area. Enforce rules, adapt to situations, and ensure compliance with TSA regulations while promoting hospitality and helpful guest service.

Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma or GED and have lifeguard experience. Certifications in CPR/AED/First Aid and ARC Lifeguard are required, with background checks and Safe from Harm training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 6 months lifeguard experience recommended.
• Experience with adults, youth and children.
• Familiar with general safety guidelines in aquatics.

Responsibilities

• Enforce aquatics rules to maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor assigned area and identify signs of danger.
• Maintain safety standards and required documentation.
• Promote hospitality, ensuring guests feel welcome.
• Assist with cleaning, maintenance and inventory in Aquatics.
• Meet safety standards and attend department meetings.
• Track statistics and provide reports to management.
• Participate in community events/outreach as assigned.
