Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One (1) year of related experience.
• Fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled/professional work to implement a program of aquatics activities; plans and organizes recreational activities; supervises activities and participants; recruits and registers participants; ensures safety of activities; teaches rules and skills; oversees work of subordinates and volunteers.
• Enforces safety rules; may serve as lifeguard.
• Greet the public; handle information, fees, and cash; balance cash drawer.
• Plan short- and long-range activities; obtain permits where applicable.
• Supervise events; arrange parking and security; assist with post-event cleanup.
• Assist with contracts, special events, and program information.
• Issue equipment; maintain cleanliness and operability of equipment.
• Prepare logs/reports, registration forms, attendance sheets; file program information.
• Open/close recreation building; check buildings; report maintenance; manage keys.
