Job summary

City of Frisco is seeking an Aquatic Supervisor to oversee daily aquatic operations at the Frisco Athletic Center, including indoor year-round and seasonal outdoor programs. You will lead staff, ensure safety and water quality, manage budgets, and coordinate services with the public and city partners.

This role requires a degree in recreation and professional certifications, with a focus on customer service and policy compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field; 3 years recreation management/administration, 1+ year supervisory experience
  • Must hold CPO or AFO certification at hire
  • Lifeguard certification required at hire
  • Lifeguard Instructor certification required at hire
  • Water Safety Instructor certification within 12 months of employment
  • Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR required
  • Valid Texas driver’s license required

Responsibilities

  • Supervises aquatic programs and water safety operations; hires, coaches, schedules, and evaluates staff
  • Certifies personnel for lifeguard and water safety instruction
  • Develops aquatic programs with descriptions, schedules, and instructors
  • Maintains water chemistry to ensure proper levels
  • Keeps daily records on attendance, chemicals, incidents, and maintenance
  • Manages division budget and tracks revenues/expenses to meet goals
  • Promotes facility amenities, programs, and services to members and guests
  • Acts as Manager on Duty on a rotating schedule
  • Prepares purchase orders for inventory and supplies
