Job summary

City and County of Denver is seeking an Aquatics Coordinator to create and lead swimming programs, oversee part-time staff, and engage with local communities.

The role requires Lifeguard Training, CPR, First Aid, and experience in managing aquatic activities. The position is full-time and on-site at recreation centers, with scheduling including evenings and weekends. Benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED required.
• Three (3) years of work experience instructing in an organized aquatic program.
• Lifeguard Training Certification, CPR and AED for Professional Rescuers, and First Aid required at time of application.

Responsibilities

• Create, implement, and lead Aquatics programs, including swimming lessons and events.
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of part-time staff.
• Oversee staff scheduling for Aquatics part-time staff at your facility.
• Evaluate program success and report back to Aquatics Core Team.
• Deliver proactive customer service to community members and users.
• Attend community events as a Denver Parks and Recreation ambassador.
