The University of California, Berkeley's Department of Intercollegiate Athletics seeks an Aquatics Chief of Staff to enhance operational and strategic support for all Aquatics programs.

You will lead scheduling, performance analysis, recruiting logistics, and budget management while coordinating with Marketing, Ticketing, Equipment, and other units to promote student-athlete success and holistic well-being.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience with Division 1 Aquatics programs.
• Thorough knowledge of program activity and best practices.
• Problem-solving skills; multi-task, work with frequent interruptions, and effective listener.
• Highly effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
• Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications relevant to job duties.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to accomplish multiple tasks within demanding timeframes.
• Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
• Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.
• Must maintain current knowledge of and/or ability to learn applicable rules and standards of the ACC Conference, the NCAA, and Berkeley policies.

Responsabilidades

• Practice Scheduling and Performance Analysis - 15%
• Coordinates, plans, organizes, and administers mid-size athletics program(s) and projects in conjunction with support units such as Marketing, Ticketing, Equipment, Video and Sports Management.
• Recruiting Logistics and Travel Management - 10%
• Assist with coordination and logistics of on-Campus recruiting activities; manage travel for recruiting trips.
• Home Event Support - 10%
• Support home events and coordinate with Event/Facility staff for on-site operations.
• Student Workforce Management - 15%
• Recruit, train, and manage student workforce across all Aquatics programs.
• Community and Donor Relations - 10%
• Engage with alumni, donors, media and the public; participate in development activities as needed.
• Coaching Advisory and Student Well-Being - 5%
• Advise Swimming Head Coach and promote student-athlete well-being and development.
• Budget Management - 15%
• Oversee budgeting for all Aquatics programs including scholarships.
• Other Duties - 5%
• Assume additional duties as assigned by the Head Coach, including professional development.
