Job summary

Life Time is seeking an Aquatics Supervisor to lead a fast-paced team and assist members in improving their swimming in our indoor and outdoor pools. You will supervise and train Aquatics Department staff, ensuring safety and clean, well-run facilities for all guests.

The role requires lifeguard credentials, coaching or swim instruction experience, and the ability to manage schedules, respond to inquiries, and actively promote Life Time swim programs across the club.

Qualifications

• Complete and pass Life Time courses when hired.
• Ability to communicate with guests about Life Time products and services.
• Swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Tread water for 1 minute.
• Lift up to 20 lbs as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for all members.

• Maintain highest level of programming and programming quality.
• Promote Life Time swim program within the club.

Position Summary

As the Aquatics Supervisor, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will help members improve their swimming in our state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. This position assists in managing and training all Aquatics Department Team Members. You will offer great customer service and maintain the cleanliness and order of our Aquatics Facilities.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Ensures Aquatics Team Members offer a safe and friendly environment for all members
• Responds to member inquiries regarding Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures in a professional and timely manner
• Ensures we have the highest level of programming
• Promotes Life Time swim program

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses when hired
• Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs

Education

• High School Diploma or GED

Years Of Experience

• 6 months of customer service experience
• 1 year coaching and/or swim instructor experience
• 1 year of lifeguarding experience
• 6 months of head guard or supervising experience

Licenses / Certifications / Registrations

• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first). For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college or working towards a 4 year degree
