Job summary

DFMWR - Fort Stewart/Hunter Army Airfield Garrison is seeking an Aquatics Program Manager to oversee daily operations of aquatic fitness, training and recreational programs at multiple pools, indoors and outdoors. The role includes supervision of staff, program development and enforcement of safety policies.

The position reports to the DFMWR organization at Fort Stewart/HAAF and carries responsibilities for APF/NAF budgeting, SOP updates and coordination with marketing for event promotion.

Responsibilities

• Operates and supervises aquatic fitness, training and recreational programs at indoor and outdoor pools.
• Establishes and reviews aquatic programs and risk management plans for all facilities.
• Coordinates with MWR marketing to publicize aquatic events and evaluates program effectiveness.
• Oversees staff recruitment, orientation, training, and supervision; enforces policies and SOPs.

• Serves as the Aquatics Program Manager responsible for the daily operation and supervision of aquatic fitness, training and recreational programs, personnel, and classes at aquatic facilities. Manages multiple indoors and outdoors pools.
• Provides overall supervision of the aquatic programs. Establishes and reviews the Aquatic programs. Establishes and reviews the Aquatic Risk Management plan for all aquatic facilities.
• Coordinates with the MWR marketing department to publicize aquatic events. Establishes and executes processes to evaluate the effectiveness of the aquatic programs. Responsible for APF and NAF budget for assigned facilities and programs.
• Develops and updates the Standard Operating Procedures for the aquatic facilities, programs and enforces policies. Interviews and selects such staff and provides them with required orientation, training and management to meet all activity needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
