Job summary

Grand Rapids Kroc Center is seeking an Aquatics Lead to assist with program implementation, events, swim lessons, and staff supervision. You will help train employees and ensure safe operations of all aquatic activities at the center.

The role requires experience in aquatics, leadership potential, and certification in lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and first aid; familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint is beneficial. This is a part-time position at our Grand Rapids facility.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• 3+ years’ experience in an aquatic setting.
• 1+ year’s management experience in an aquatic setting preferred.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid and related certifications are required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations of the aquatic center and oversee programs.
• Supervise aquatic staff including pool attendants, instructors and lifeguards.
• Inspect facilities and equipment, maintain records, and ensure safety policies are followed.
• Assist in swim lessons, trainings, and special events.
• Develop and implement safety procedures and emergency plans.
