Job summary

Municipality of Anchorage is seeking an Assistant Aquatic Manager to lead lifeguards and oversee operations across municipal aquatic facilities. You will supervise programs, ensure guest safety, and manage records and reporting.

The role requires Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications, a related degree or equivalent experience, and completion of a background check; some remote work may be possible after probation at management discretion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreational Sports, or related discipline.
• American Red Cross First Aid Certification (age appropriate) at time of hire.
• American Red Cross CPR (age appropriate) at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifeguard programs and supervise lifeguards.
• Manage program operations for all pools and waterfront facilities.
• Instruct water safety and first aid classes.
• Perform cashier duties, fill forms, generate reports and maintain records.
