Job summary

Qualifications

• Lifeguard Training (American Red Cross or equivalent) at time of hire.
• First Aid Certification at time of hire.
• CPR for Professional Rescuers at time of hire.
• Background check required as part of employment process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise participants to ensure safety of all pool users.
• Communicate information to coworkers, supervisor and the public.
• Provide a wide range of water safety instruction to children and adults.
• Perform facility and grounds security/maintenance; assist in emergencies.
• Perform rescues, first aid, CPR and follow the Emergency Action/Management Plan.
• Maintain swimming pool water quality standards.
