Job summary
The YMCA of Greater Brandywine in Coatesville, PA is seeking a part-time Age Group Swim Coach to assist in implementing and delivering the Competitive Swim program. You will support staff, coach age group swimmers and help manage meets and practices.
The role emphasizes safety, staff training, curriculum development and coordination with the Director of Competitive Aquatics to expand swim team programming and ensure inclusive, engaging experiences for youth swimmers.
Qualifications
- Competitive swimming experience (4+ years) preferred.
- Current Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Two years coaching experience with youth swimmers.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Oversee age group programming for 12 and Under (mini, level 3, level 2).
- Communicate with 12 and Under members and parents regularly.
- Assist Director of Competitive Aquatics or Associate Head Coach.
- Help build season plans and meets with the Director of Competitive Aquatics.
- Maintain team database and manage 12 and Under meet entries.
