Job summary

Sylvania is seeking Aquatics - Pool Shift Supervisors at Roosevelt Middle for weekday evenings, Saturdays, and Sundays. This part-time position offers up to 10 hours per week and requires availability for a minimum of two weekends per month.

The role entails opening/closing the facility, managing admissions, supervising staff, and supporting swim lesson evaluations. A Lifeguarding/Water Safety Instructor certification is preferred or must be obtained within six months. Start ASAP.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising and training staff.
• Experience in teaching swim lessons, lifeguarding, and/or swim coaching.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certificate in Lifeguarding, or ability to acquire certification within first six months of hire.
• Ability to work with large groups of people.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including completing an assigned day.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work device and material handling, data functions, and people functions.
• Must be physically working in the building.

Rate of Pay

$18.22‑$20.24 per hour – DOQ.
