Job summary

Great Wolf Lodge in Bloomington, MN seeks Assistant Director of Aquatics to assist the Director with overall waterpark management, leadership of aquatics staff, and financial planning. In the Director's absence, this role serves as acting Director.

Must have lifeguard training license, First Aid/CPR/AED, and strong budget, scheduling, and training skills; flexible schedule including nights and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training Program license
• First Aid, CPR, AED
• Ability to resolve conflicts and lead a team
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in forecasting and executing departmental and safety budget
• Develop and maintain inspection programs to support the waterpark operation
• Assist in managing the department including scheduling, training, purchasing, and cleanliness programs
• Develop Managers, Supervisors and Lifeguards for career advancement
• Participate in the Manager-On-Duty (MOD) program and execute duties
• Plan, administer, and monitor aquatics safety programs in compliance with regulations
• Administer emergency procedures including first aid, CPR, AED
• Document and track safety/OSHA incidents and reports for monthly/quarterly/year-end reporting
• Conduct monthly safety equipment checks and ensure AED readiness
• Lead the Resort Safety Committee and participate in Corporate Safety calls
• Instruct Ellis Lifeguard Training and assist with in-service trainings
