Job summary

Westerfield Club in Tuscaloosa, AL, seeks a full-time Aquatics Manager to oversee all pool operations and safety programs. The role involves staffing, budgeting, and coordinating with maintenance to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming pool environment.

The ideal candidate has lifeguard and first aid training, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and at least three years of supervisory experience in a club setting. Troon partners to provide industry-leading amenities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in education, physical education, recreation management or health sciences.
• Three years of experience as an assistant pool manager or equivalent.
• Lifeguard training and swim instruction experience required.

Responsibilities

• Directs pool operation and safety programs to ensure guest safety.
• Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates pool staff.
• Plans weekly schedules and rotations for all pool employees.
• Maintains chemical balance and equipment with maintenance dept.
• Registers members and charges for lessons and services.
• Coordinates pool safety and risk management programs.
• Assists with first aid per Red Cross and American Heart Association standards.
• Develops annual operating and staffing budgets and monitors expenses.
